Breakfast, Lunch, & Dinner

I attend a real Jewel of a Bible College! My last class severed as a stirring reminder of the Pure Delight and Fullfillment the Word offers to us. It is a most satisfying meal, one that never leaves me aching from overeating.

On the Menu today,

John 20:5 and Leviticus 16: 23.

My Professor explained to us John’s magnificent purpose in penning verse 5 in chapter 20 of his Glorious Gospel Account! It reads:

 and stooping and looking in, he saw the linen wrappings lying there; but he did not go in.

As my Professor probed, was John interested in the fact that Jesus was a neat freak? Or perhaps his linens were name brand and therefore worthy of mentioning? Both of these conclusions fail to explain the beauty and wonder that is Our Daily Bread. So then, what was the point?

Take a look at Leviticus 16:23

Then Aaron shall come into the tent of meeting and take off the linen garments which he put on when he went into the holy place, and shall leave them there. 

Jesus, done with His Perfect Eternal Sacrifice takes off His linens and leaves them in the tomb and exits.
